Life under a rock

From our correspondent

Bastiaan Terhorst—an amateur scientist from The Netherlands—has been conducting his own research on living under rocks. Bastiaan: “I used to think it was easy, boy was I wrong! People living under a rock are generally putting in 70+ hours of work a week just to stay underneath that rock, it’s quite amazing really”. His research has uncovered many beneficial side effects of living under a rock: “Preliminary results are showing that people living under rocks have significantly less chance of suffering from hangovers, bad dates and obesity”. If these results prove to be correct, they could shake society on it’s very foundations. When asked for comments, one bystander wishing to remain anonymous remarked “Wow”. It’s not all fun and games though: “It does severely limits your mobility. Unless of-course you try and get under one of those upper-management rocks that come with a garage and a Porsche, but as far as I’m concerned, that’s cheating”, Bastiaan noted, while brushing some moss of his lapels. Bastiaan plans to remain under a rock for another 6 weeks to finish his research. After that period he plans to come back out, and make his experiences known to the world.
