For the 22nd time

Happy Birthday Me

March 28 was my birthday, and I am now officially 22 years of age. To celebrate this insanely insignificant number, I took the picture you see above.

I haven’t posted in a while, I know. It’s not because I am tired of it, or because Paco keeps deleting everything I write. The problem is that I simply don’t have internet access at the moment. Our university is closed for three weeks, because of easter. Easter. English people… Sheesh.

The project

Ah, the project. ‘Junk’. Well, we’re still working on it. Some things are progressing a bit slower than anticipated (making the puppets), but we’re still on schedule. Shooting starts in just over a week, so these are exciting times. I am planning another ‘making-of’ post in a few days with some proper shots of the puppets.

On my mind

• My girlfriend visited me in Bristol, and left again. :(
• I read Off the Chart, by James Hall. It’s pretty good, especially if you’re a sucker for Florida crime novels. Like I am. I liked Blackwater Sound more.
• Still re-reading catch-22. It may be the best book I ever read.
• I am working on a small video ‘guide’. Almost finished — will post soon.
• I decided I need to do more live action and motion graphics. The time has come to stop fucking around.
• Not having a permanent internet connection is pissing me off.
• We are going back to Rotterdam in three weeks.
