I am a highly motivated designer currently living in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Two cats and one sweet girl are keeping me company. Meow.
Work
Being my primary interest, my expertise lies with animation and compositing. I have experience with most forms of animation, including cel animation, cutout, traditional 3d (clay) and computer 2d. On the compositing side, I have extensive experience with keying, color correction and live action/cg integration. My programming background enables me to easily grasp complex composites and use procedural animation where appropriate.
Designing websites is another passion of mine, because it is an area that fuses my creative and analythical sides. I am proficient in web standards such as XHTML and CSS, and hand-code all my websites. Adhering to these standards ensures clean, fast websites that work on all browsers, maximizing your audience. I also have 3+ years of PHP experience, and am familiar with OOP concepts and popular application design patterns. Recently I have been exploring the exciting world of Ruby and the Rails framework.

While I enjoy reading, cooking and music, my passion lies with bouldering. Bouldering is a form of rock climbing practiced on small rocks. You stay relatively low (2-6 meters), so no rope or other gear is needed. And because the ascends are so short, the focus lies with explosive strength and precision technique rather than endurance—sometimes a so called problem consists of just one movement.
